Goal: Ensure high-quality student projects and theses, promote research and publications, and enhance academic–industry collaboration to strengthen the department’s academic and research reputation.
Tentative Activities:
● Ensure high-quality project/thesis supervision and outcomes.
● Ensure the publication of at least 30 student research papers each year.
● Bring new policies if necessary to ensure high-quality projects/theses.
● Make it compulsory for students doing projects to work with or consult industries.
● Ensure final year design projects/theses include inputs and co-supervision from industry experts.
● Promote publication of results obtained from projects/theses in
journals/conferences.
● Arrange relevant meetings for project/thesis coordination and
monitoring.
● Receive feedback from the industrial panel before developing a new
curriculum and coordinate with the curriculum committee.
● Involve at least 3 industry personnel in 3 project/thesis-related courses
each semester.
● Involve at least 3 international academics in 3 courses each semester.
● Sign at least 2 MoUs with international universities to enhance research
and project collaboration.
