Green University of Bangladesh

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at Green University of Bangladesh (GUB), in collaboration with the Innovation Design and Entrepreneurship Academy (IDEA), successfully organized the University Activation Programme on Sunday, October 19, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Room A-409, GUB.

The event was co-organized by the Green University Computer Club (GUCC), IEEE GUB Student Branch, and the IEEE Computer Society GUB Student Branch Chapter, with generous support from the ICT Division, Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC), and Green University of Bangladesh.

Purpose of the Programme

The primary objective of the programme was to empower students with entrepreneurial knowledge, innovative thinking, and leadership skills. It aimed to motivate young university students to transform their creative ideas into impactful startups and actively contribute to the nation’s socio-economic development.

Event Highlights

The programme featured a series of engaging and insightful sessions, including:

Entrepreneurship Masterclass conducted by Mr. Ashraf Hossain Sachin, Founder & CEO of Kinso Stores.
Sessions on Pitch Deck Development and IDEA Pre-Seed Grant Application, led by Mr. Siddhartho Goushami, Senior Consultant, IDEA Project.
Pitching Session, where three student teams presented their innovative startup ideas and received expert feedback and guidance.
Guest of Honour Speech delivered by Prof. Dr. Khawza Iftekhar Uddin Ahmed, Pro Vice-Chancellor, GUB.
Closing Remarks by Prof. Dr. Md. Ahsan Habib, Chairperson, Department of CSE, GUB.

Audience Response

The event received an enthusiastic response from both students and faculty members.
