The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) extends its warmest congratulations to the entire Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) community on achieving an outstanding milestone in the prestigious Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2026.

In the latest rankings, which evaluated 1,646 universities across 116 countries, GUB has advanced significantly into the 401–600 band globally (up from the 601–800 band in 2025). This remarkable progress officially positions GUB as the 3rd-ranked university in Bangladesh, underscoring our institutional commitment to global sustainability, social impact, and academic excellence.

Global and National Highlights

GUB has demonstrated exceptional performance across several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy): Ranked 63rd globally and 1st in Bangladesh.
SDG 4 (Quality Education): Ranked 101–200 globally and 4th in Bangladesh.
SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions): Ranked 301–400 globally and 2nd in Bangladesh.
