The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), in collaboration with the Green University Library, successfully organized a Library Orientation Program for the newly admitted students on Wednesday, 8 July 2026. Held in the Multipurpose Hall (B-103) at 9:00 AM, the session saw active participation from approximately 52 students.

The primary objective of the program was to familiarize freshmen with the vast array of Library resources, services, and facilities available to support their academic and research endeavors. Through detailed presentations and live demonstrations, attendees gained practical knowledge on navigating both print and electronic collections, utilizing the Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC), and accessing scholarly databases.

The session was anchored by Mr. Md. Asaduzzaman (Batch 241), who welcomed the attendees and introduced the distinguished guests: Mr. Syed Ahsanul Kabir, Associate Professor and Chairperson of the CSE Department, and Mr. Sharifur Rahman, Lecturer, CSE, and Executive Committee Member of the Green University Library. Ms. Ayrin Rahman (Batch 242) was also acknowledged for her contribution to documenting the event.

Technical Session & Keynote Address
The technical segment was expertly facilitated by Ms. Nawshaba Bulia, Library Officer. She provided a comprehensive overview of borrowing policies, e-library services, remote access, and effective search strategies for downloading academic resources.

Following the technical session, Mr. Syed Ahsanul Kabir delivered an inspiring keynote address. He underscored the Library's role as a cornerstone of academic excellence, urging students to cultivate a habit of reading and utilize the Library as an integral part of their educational journey. He encouraged them to emulate successful scholars who thrive through continuous learning and research.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the anchor, expressing gratitude to the faculty members, the organizing team, and the participants for their enthusiastic involvement in making the event a resounding success.
