Welcome to the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at Green University of Bangladesh (GUB).

Started in 2003 as an academic discipline at GUB, CSE Department continues to produce good quality graduates. The CSE department is deeply committed to providing the highest quality undergraduate education. Our courses are up to date and are career-focused to meet the requirements of the IT industry. The CSE faculty members have outstanding academic and research records and they are devoted to our students. “Changing lives…one student at a time” has been the slogan of the CSE department and thus we take special care of you.

The B.Sc. in CSE program is accredited by the Board of Accreditation for Engineering and Technical Education (BAETE) of Institution of Engineers Bangladesh (IEB). The CSE department has started to follow Outcome Based Education (OBE) from Spring 2019 and it offers students many opportunities to expand your intellectual and technical horizons through distinguished lectures, hands-on training, outcome-based laboratory activities, industrial attachments, workplace training, student clubs, programming contests and innovative capstone project development activities. I would like to make a special mention of our unique arrangement of weekly training sessions on solving intelligent programming problems by an ACM world finalist. The final year students and the faculty members of CSE Department are highly contributing to  the International Conference on Sustainable Technologies for Industry 4.0 (STI) organised by the Faculty of Science and Engineering of GUB. We have 9 laboratories with ample opportunities of programming practices, software development, mobile application development, digital logic design, etc.

Sincerity, commitment and timeliness are the main strengths of our department. The faculty members and the students maintain a very congenial and friendly work environment here. Students are engaged in various co-curricular activities and enjoy their stays here.

Information, computing and communication technologies pervade nearly all aspects of today’s digital society and will continue in the decades ahead to be of critical importance to the nation’s technological infrastructure.

We are proud of the accomplishments of our many alumni working for the fastest-growing information technology companies as well as pursuing their high studies in reputed foreign universities with full-funded scholarships.
